Does it work as a horror film. Yes it does very effectively. At the films initial Sundance showing a viewer actually fainted due to the suspense. It works incredibly well. Its amazing to see such a success come from such a simple subject matter. The suspense builds at a great pace and for such a simple subject it never feels boring. So yes is does work on several levels and I highly recommend checking it out with a group to watch the reactions.

What is frozen you ask? Well it is the story on three friends who when the movie starts are at a ski resort somewhere in the New England area. The story is as simple as it gets. The three friends Parker (played by Emma Bell), Joe (played by Shawn Ashmore) and Dan(played by Kevin Zegers) are on a weekend get away at a ski resort. Parker is Dans girlfriend and Joe (Dans best friend) is not exactly happy shes there. After several hours of sarcasm/exciting bunny slop action Joe decides he is done with it and the decide to take one final run before the resort closes. But due to weather the park starts closing early and they have to convince the ski lift operator to let them to the top and allow them one more run before the lifts are turned off. Due a mix up on ground level they get stranded half way up the mountain 30 feet above the ground on a Ski lift from there we are taken on a journey of terror. I can honestly not say anything else without ruining the experience. Ok so big question
